Andrew White III’s Best Fit Is Syracuse

Andrew White III’s Best Fit Is Syracuse White III’s basketball odyssey has taken detours, from Kansas to Nebraska. With his departure from Lincoln for one final season, White’s next stop will set the course for his final goal: the NBA draft.

The perfect pit stop on the way to his professional destination may be the Carrier Dome and Syracuse.

Cuse Nation reported Thursday White visited Syracuse, just days after declaring his intention to transfer from Nebraska.

White garnered honorable mention All-Big Ten recognition after averaging 16.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game for the Cornhuskers.

White’s proven himself a capable volume scorer, evidenced in his last time out when he hit for 25 points in Nebraska’s Big Ten Tournament loss to Maryland.

After scoring a career-high 35 against Penn State, Nittany Lions head coach Patrick Chambers said “it’s just not in [White’s] makeup” to be contained.

His breakout season after two years languishing on the Kansas bench didn’t land White a spot in this year’s NBA draft, though he tested the waters. White’s game should peak some pro interest; at 6-foot-7, he’s big for a two-guard and shoots well from deep — an increasingly sought after skill given the league’s heightened emphasis on the 3-pointer. read more at
